The agreement that the Italian State made with the US for a military base in Vicenza, in which men and actions of war are prepared; from which airplanes leave for offensive attacks, for bombings, or that however form part of a war strategy, contrasts with that principle of our Constitution. That agreement, was a secret agreement between Pres. Berlusconi and Pres. Bush, and between Berlusconi and the Mayor of Vicenza; an agreement that did not respect the sovereignty, the necessity of popular consent. Gli Stati Uniti devono chiudere la base militare di Vicenza
Forse il Presidente Obama non sa che la partecipazione ad una guerra è esclusa dalla Costituzione Italiana (art. 11); per cui anche i soldati italiani che operano in Iraq e in Afghanistan devono sottostare a norme precise che li escludono da azioni di guerra, mentre possono operare per l'ordine e per la tutela delle popolazioni.
L'accordo che lo Stato italiano ha fatto con gli USA per una base militare in cui si preparano uomini e azioni di guerra; da cui partono aerei per attacchi offensivi, per bombardamenti, o che comunque rientrano in una strategia di guerra, contrasta con quel principio della Costituzione. Quell'accordo, poi, fu un accordo segreto tra il Pres. Berlusconi e il Pres. Bush, e tra Berlusconi e l'allora Sindaco di Vicenza; un accordo che non rispettava la sovranità, la necessità del consenso popolare. Perciò i cittadini hanno ripetutamente fatto presente al governo l'errore commesso con la concessione della base, e una resistenza e rivolta è in atto nel territorio di Vicenza contro la base.
La presenza di quella base è un atto di guerra che la Costituzione Italiana non consente.
Il popolo americano, così come la sua Amministrazione, devono rispettare la Costituzione di un altro popolo, anche se certi suoi governanti per falsa amicizia o per debolezza hanno ceduto al potere USA. Devono perciò chiudere la base.
Il Movimento confida che il Presidente Obama, nella sua sensibilità e volontà di pace, vorrà seguire questa linea di rispetto e di giustizia.
